La Salle Favored By A-10 Men's Cross Country Coaches To Claim Title

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Winners of two straight titles and six in the past seven years, La Salle has been selected to capture the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championship in voting conducted by the league's head coaches as the A-10's preseason men's cross country poll was released today.

The Explorers welcome back three runners who garnered All-Conference honors a year ago in seniors Korey Edwards and Ellis Wilson and junior Trevon Rainford. They are among 11 student-athletes named to the 2007 Atlantic 10 All-Conference team scheduled to return this season.

2007 runner-up Richmond is picked second, followed by Massachusetts, Duquesne, Dayton, Charlotte, Saint Joseph's, Xavier, George Washington, Fordham, Saint Louis, Temple, Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure.

The A-10 Men's Cross Country Championship will be held Nov. 1 at the Campus Course at Charlotte.
